My interest in vector-borne disease is a result of growing up in Northern Connecticut—tick checks and bug spray have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My interest in biology really took off in middle school, though, and since then, I’ve been fascinated by infectious diseases. I’m currently working towards my B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology here at Yale and I’m hoping to pursue a career in global health post grad. On campus, I write for the Global Health Review and am a part of the research request network of the Yale Prison Education Initiative. With the Vogels Lab, I work on Wolbachia-mediated dengue virus inhibition. When I’m not at the lab or in the library or lecture, you can find me crocheting plushies, listening to podcasts, reading epic fantasy books, or hanging out with my dog.
